Day 01: Delhi To Kasauli (288 Km via NH 44) [6 Hours]

So let us begin the adventurous journey to Devbhoomi Himachal. Starting from Delhi airport / railway station head straight on national highway 44 to Kasauli. You will be covering this 288 Km journey approximately in 6-7 hours. On the way you will be crossing Punjab and the first thing that comes in mind is the Punjabi food. After leaving Delhi you are welcomed by Punjab and there are a lot of Punjabi Dhabas on the way to fuel up your stomach for the journey ahead. By evening you will read your first destination i.e. Kasauli. Take rest and enjoy the evening tea with the setting sun in the charming mountains.

Day 02: Kasauli Local Sightseeing

Kasauli is famous for its Monkey Point. So the first this to visit is Monkey Point which is the highest peak of Kasauli. Second attraction is the Baptist Church which was built in 1923 by the Britishers. You can enjoy some Shopping at the Mall Road of Kasauli. Today’s evening is sure to be spent at the Sunset Point or Lovers Point of Kasauli. Tonight’s Stay is going to be at Kasauli.

Day 03: Kasauli To Renuka JI (118 Km Via SH 2 –) [4-5 Hours]

So, today we will be going to Renuka Ji. The Place is named after the goddess Renuka. On the way you will be crossing Pine forests which are perfect for clicking pictures. After travelling 33 Km, there is a beautiful temple called Panwa Bhureshwar Mahadev Temple, a place worth visiting. The beauty of this place is mesmerising. Later continue to our destination. By evening you will reach at your hotel near Renuka JI. Take rest as in the morning more fun awaits you.

Day 04: Renuka JI Sightseeing & Proceed To Solan (115 Km Via SH 2) [4-5 Hours]

Today in the morning visit Renuka Ji Temple and the mini zoo near it. The zoo is a 2 Km round trek across the lake or you can book a safari as per your convenience. You can also do boating in the lake. By noon proceed to Solan which is your next destination. On the way you can enjoy snacks at Barog Hills. By evening you will reach Solan. Overnight stay will be at Solan.

Day 05: Solan Local Sightseeing & Proceed To Chail (46 Km)[2 Hours]

Solan also known as Mushroom City of India. The first place we are going to visit is Menri Monastery at Dolanji which is one of the oldest monasteries in India. After capturing memories in you cameras at Dolanji, leave for Jatoli Mata Mandir which is indeed an architectural marvel and one of the oldest temples of Lord Shiva. By noon leave for the next destination which is Mohan Shakti National Heritage Park located at Harath-Ashwani Khad. This Heritage Park is a marvellous place to visit. Later continue to Chail via Kandaghat and Sadhupul. The hptdc waterpark at Sadhupul is a nice place to enjoy and relax. By evening you will reach Chail. Overnight stay at hotel in Chail.

Day 06: Chail Local Sightseeing & Proceed To Shimla (50 Km) [2-3 hours]

Today start the sightseeing tour by visiting Kali Ka Tibba or Kali Temple which is located at top of a hill and you can have a complete view of Solan from there. Later continue to cricket ground. Chail is famous for its cricket ground which is located at 24444 meters above sea level which makes it the highest cricket ground in the world. Although entry to this ground is prohibited but you can take pictures from outside. You can have a clear view of Shimla from there. Later visit Sidh Baba Temple which is surrounded by Deodar trees on the hilltop. By Noon continue your journey to Kufri. You can visit Himalayan National Park at Kufri which is a mini zoo and you can spot number of wild animals like Snow Leopard and Royal Stag there. By evening you will reach Shimla. Overnight stay at hotel in Shimla.

Day 07: Shimla Local Sightseeing

Today explore the state capital i.e. Shimla and its nearby places. The first place to visit is Tara Devi Temple. Situated on hilltop amidst thick oak forest, this place offers you scenic views of the nearby mountain ranges. Later continue to Sankat Mochan Temple and Advance Studies. Advance Studies was built by Britishers in the Victorian-style architecture and was used for political meetings. But now it’s an educational institute which offers post-doctoral courses. By evening proceed to Ridge and Mall Road as these are the best place in Shimla to spend awesome evening time with your family and friends. Nearby you can also visit Kalibari Temple if you want. You can have snacks and also do shopping at Lakkar Bazar/Mall Road. Do take pictures at Ridge and Christ church. Overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 08: Shimla To Mashobra & Naldehra (25 Km) [2 Hours

Today pack your bags for Mashobra & Naldehra. But first visit Jakhu (Jakhoo) Temple on the way. This temple is dedicated to Hindu deity, Hanuman. You will be amazed on seeing 108 feet (33 m) high statue of Lord Hanuman. After clicking pictures and camera full of memories proceed to Naldehra. On the way you can stop at Mashobra to click pictures and enjoy the wildlife. At Naldehra you can do adventure activities and play golf or simple go on a trek for bird watching. Overnight stay at Naldehra / Mashobra.

Day 09: Naldehra To Sarahan (140 Km) [5-6 Hours]

It’s time to start the adventurous journey to Sarahan. On the way you will be crossing Theog, Narkanda and Rampur. On the way do visit Hatu Peak at Nakanda. This place offers spectacular view is snow-capped mountains. By Evening you will reach at Sarahan. Overnight Stay at Sarahan.

Day 10: Sarahan Local sightseeing & Proceed to Sangla (90 Km) [3-4 Hours]

Today visit Bhimakali Temple which is in the middle of the Sarahan. This temple is dedicated to mother goddess Bhima Kali. This is a historic temple and which has another three temples within dedicated to Lord Raghunathji, Narsinghji and Patal Bhairva Ji. After that take a walk amidst apple orchards behind the temple and visit cricket ground. If the sky is clear then you can have a clear view of mighty Shrikhand Mountain Ranges. By Noon proceed to Sangla. Overnight Stay at Sangla.

Day 11: Sangla Chitkul Local Sightseeing

Today visit Kamru Fort, Buddhist Monastry, Bering Nag Temple, Rakchham and Chitkul Valley. Chitkul and Sangla are surrounded by mountains. Beauty of this place cannot be expressed in words it can only be witnessed. Scenic views of lush green meadows, the snow covered mountains and a small hamlet town everything makes this place a perfect travel destination to relax your mind. By evening reach back to Sangla and Overnight stay at Sangla.

Day 12: Sangla To Kalpa (40 km) [2-3 Hours]

On the 12th day of your journey proceed to Kalpa via Karcham. You will be travelling along side of the Sutlej River. Take rest and feast your eyes on the mighty Kinner Kailash mountain ranges. Evening is free to explore the local market, apple orchards and Pine nut or Chilgoza is another nut that grows in Kinnaur, you can see it hanging on Pine trees. Overnight stay at Kalpa.

Day 13: Kalpa Reckongpeo Local Sightseeing

Now, it’s your 13th day in Himachal. Today visit Roghi Village and Suicide Point. This is a perfect place to take pictures and feel the thrill of the valleys. Later visit Reckongpeo market. You will be amazed to see such a big market at this high altitude. You can shop for local fruits and products while enjoying the variety of local cuisines. Overnight Stay at Kalpa.

Day 14: Kalpa To Tabo (150 Km) [6-7 hours]

From this day you will be leaving the world behind and entering another world of peace until you reach Manali. On the way you will be crossing amazing valleys and several villages like Pooh, Pangi, Khab, Nako and finally reaching at Tabo. On the way you might be interested to halt at Nako and visit Nako Lake. It is a high altitude lake surrounded by Willow and Popular trees. By Evening you will reach Tabo. Overnight Stay at Tabo.

Day 15: Tabo To Kaza (50 Km) [2 Hours]

Today pack your bags to visit the most desired travel destination- Kaza. But first visit Tabo Monastery. On the way to Tabo visit Dhankar village and Dhankar Monastery. You can have lunch or snacks over there. Late continue to Kaza. Overnight stay at Kaza.

Day 16: Kaza Local Sightseeing

There are a lot of places nearby Kaza worth visiting. Starting from Langza Village,if weather conditions are favourable you can visit Hikkim. Hikkim village has the highest post office in the world at an elevation of 4,400 m (14,400 ft.). Later continue to Kibber village and Key monastery. Kibber village is the highest village in the world Situated at an elevation of 4850m. By Evening return back to Kaza. Overnight stay at Kaza.

Day 17: Kaza To Chandartal (55 Km) [6-7 Hours Approx.]

Today start early in the morning and drive to Chandartal Lake. You will be crossing Kunzum pass and Batal. Sit tight as this will be the most adventurous journey of your life. Send your time at Chandartal Lake and by evening return back to your camp. Overnight stay in a camp near Chandertal Lake.

Day 18: Chandertal To Manali (65 Km) [5-6 hours Approx.]

Say goodbye to the mountain peaks as today you will be going to Manali. You will be crossing Rohtang pass. This place is also a good one to halt and enjoy & capturing memories in your camera. By night you will reach Manali. Overnight Stay at Manali.

Day 19: Manali Local Sightseeing

Today, visit nearby local temples and take rest as you will be tired from your last 2 days adventures. You can visit holy Vashist Temple & hot springs and take a bath. Later you can visit Hadimba Temple and Mall Road. You will find different international cuisine restaurants at Mall road. Overnight Stay at Manali.

Day 20: Jogini Waterfall & Local Manali

Today you can do a little trek of 3 Km to Jogini water fall. You can normally do this trek in 30-40 minutes to one side. This is a good trek and can be covered under 2 hours. Do take eatables with you as there are no shops on the way. Jogini waterfall is an excellent place to do fun with water as there is a small pool formed under the waterfall. By Noon you will reach back and can go to Van Vihar and riverside. Tibetan market and old Manali is a good place for the evening. Overnight stay at Manali.

Day 21: Manali To Manikaran (85 Km) [3-4 Hours]

Today leave Manali and Proceed To Manikaran. On the way you can do river rafting and other adventure activities as per availability. Later continue the journey towards Manikaran. Manikaran is a religious place for Hindus and Sikhs. Visit Manikaran Gurdwara, Shiv Temple and you can also relax in the hot water springs at Manikaran. Later proceed to Kasol. Overnight Stay in Kasol.

Day 22: Kasol To Bir (160 Km) (6-7 Hours)

Today leave for Bir early in the morning. There are many twists and turns on the way till you reach Bir. So get you cameras ready again to click some amazing shots. On the way you will be crossing Mandi. There are no. of historic and architectural marvel temples on the way to Bir. By evening you will reach Bir. If time permits you can do shopping at local market and visit Chokling Monastery at Bir. Overnight Stay at Bir.

Day 23: Bir & Palampur Local Sightseeing & Proceed to McLeodganj

Bir is famous for Paragliding. So, this might be the first thing in your bucket list today. Later continue to Palampur. Palampur is famous for its tea gardens and is the tea capital of north-west India. You will be amazed on seeing lush green tea gardens. Later visit Tashi Jong Monastery and Proceed to McLeodganj. Overnight stay at McLeodganj.

Day 24: McLeodganj & Dharamshala Sightseeing

McLeodganj market is famous for its local goods and Tibetan handicrafts/garments. So, today you can visit Naddi, Dal Lake, McLeodganj market, Tibet museum, St. Johns Church, Bhagsunath Temple and Bhagsu Falls. By noon proceed to Dharamshala. Dharamshala is also known as Little Lhasa, because of the Tibetan community present there. You will find variety of Tibetans cuisines there. At Dharamshala you can visit HPCA Cricket Stadium, War Memorial & Monasteries. Overnight stay at Dharamshala.

Day 25: Kangra Local Sightseeing

Today visit Kangra and its nearby places. Today you can visit 2 main places i.e. Kangra Fort and Masrur Rock Cut Temple. These two places will give you an idea about the architecture of ancient India. By evening return back to Dharamshala. Overnight stay at Dharamshala.

Day 26: Dharamshala To Dalhousie (120 Km) [4-5 Hours]

Today leave for Dalhousie. By noon you will reach Dalhousie and today you can explore the local market of Dalhousie. You can visit Gandhi Chowk Market and Tibtean market and Subhash Baoli etc. Overnight Stay at Dalhousie.

Day 27: Dalhousie – Khajjiar Local sightseeing

Today visit Satdhara waterfall, Diankund Peak, Bakrota Hills, Kala Top wildlife sanctuary and Khajjiar. Khajjiar is one of the famous hill station in Himachal and is also known as Mini Switzerland of India. This place is a unique combination of vast green landscape surrounded by deodar forests and a small lake in between. Spend an awesome time at Khajjiar with your loved ones. Overnight stay at Khajjiar.

Day 28: Khajjiar To Chamba & Local Sightseeing

Today visit Chamba which is 25 Km away from Khajjiar. Chamba is a district of Himachal Pradesh and is a picturesque valley, amidst the Shivalik ranges. Chamba is famous for its Chowgan which is a ground and its nearby temples. You can visit Bhuri Singh Museum, Chandi Palace, Champavati Temple, Church of Scotland, Laxmi Narayana Temple and Shri Hari Rai Temple. Each temple is beautifully built and the work on the walls & stones is mesmerising. By evening return back to Khajjiar. Overnight Stay at Khajjiar.

Day 29: Khajjiar to Amritsar (217 Km) [7-8 Hours

This will be your last day in Himachal so pack your bags for the final time at Himachal and leave for Amritsar. Today do rest and spend overnight at Amritsar.

Day 30: Amritsar Local Sightseeing & Airport/Railway Station Drop

Today will be the last day of your 30 days trip. Amritsar is not in Himachal it’s in Punjab but these are some truly amazing must visit places at Amritsar. First one is Golden Temple and second is Jallianwala Bagh. Golden Temple is holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism. At Jallianwala Bagh, on 13 April 1919 the troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer fired rifles into a crowd of Indians, who had gathered there. The bullet marks are still present on the walls. The well that rescued many Indian from firing is still present and preserved at park. By noon / evening proceed to Amritsar airport / Railway station for further journey to your home.
